(1) Q: Do I need to register for the conference if I am presenting a poster?
A: Yes. You will need to register and pay the student registration fee.
(2) Q: When will I find out if my poster has been accepted to the conference?A: Accepted posters will be added to the web site on a routine basis, usually once a week.
(3) Q: Where should I put my poster when I arrive to the conference?A: You will be able to drop them off in the room for the poster session when you arrive.
(4) Q: By what point does my poster need to be setup?A: All posters must be setup and ready for presentation by 15 minutes prior to the start of the poster session which begins at 12:00 noon.
(5) Q: Is there a requirement for poster size/dimensions?A: The maximum size is 3 ‘ by 4’. You will be displaying on a tri-fold poster board which is 3’ high and 4’ wide.
(6) Q: How will I know where to put my poster?A: Posters are assigned numbers and you should display according to your number. A chart will be available at the meeting.
(7) Q: How will posters be mounted at the poster session, and will materials be available to do so?A: T-pins or thumbtacks will be provided.
(8) Q: Am I able to reserve a spot near an outlet or power source?A: No. Please bring an extension cord if you should require access to an outlet.
(9) Q: Are the posters limited to only technical lab projects?A: No. If you participated in a corporate internship or global student experience this summer, you can also submit a poster. Make sure the content of the poster does not contain sensitive or confidential data.
(10) Q: How many posters will be approved?
A: We are looking at a maximum of 40 posters in the poster session.
(11) Q: How many posters may a student submit?A: Usually one per person. The submitter needs to be present to explain the poster and answer questions.
(12) Q: Does the poster need to be in color?A: Color is preferred but black and white will be accepted.
(13) Q: Are posters limited to just student submissions?A: No. Companies, agencies, faculty and students are eligible to submit.
